Anyone is welcome to participate in any of the committees listed below. You do NOT have to be a BID member to do so.
In the BID’s ongoing efforts to improve and promote Los Feliz Village businesses, we utilize our strategic committees for monthly and annual events that encourage visitors to come to and explore all that our local businesses have to offer. Our all-volunteer committees work hard to help improve the BID. Read the committee information below to find out how you can be a part of these active committees.
Beautification
Committee Chair: Ermanno Neiviller
*meets every 3rd Thursday of the month*
Responsible for maintaining and updating regular Maintenance Contracts (trash pickup, graffiti cleanup, sidewalk spot cleaning), Special Projects (planters, string lights, Village clean-ups). It also procures bids and maintains contracts for tree trimming in Village and the frequency of these services.
Administration
BID President Dora Herrera
The Administrative Committee is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational integrity of the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District (BID). This includes maintaining accurate books and records of accounts, assisting the President and Secretary with financial oversight, and preparing the annual BID report. The committee ensures compliance with city regulations related to insurance, financials, and contracts, and works closely with the Treasurer and President to verify the yearly business database, assess membership, and facilitate annual elections. The Senior Officers of the Board, including the President, Treasurer, and Vice-President, are automatically part of this committee, which meets on an as-needed basis to address budget, finance, and compliance matters.
Outreach & Communication
Committee Chair: Riley Schmidt

The Outreach and Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date roster of BID member businesses and ensuring effective communication with members through the management of the BID website and other channels. The committee collaborates closely with the Marketing & PR Committee to promote events, initiatives, and general outreach, supporting the BID’s efforts to strengthen the business district and engage both members and the broader community.
Safety
Committee Chair: Samantha Popa
*meets quarterly on the 1st Tuesday of the last month*
The Safety Committee is responsible for promoting a safe and secure environment for businesses within the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District (BID). The committee works closely with local law enforcement and city agencies to address safety concerns, including crime prevention and public health issues, that impact the business community. It develops and implements safety initiatives, provides resources and training for BID members, and ensures that businesses are informed of safety updates and best practices to protect their operations and customers.
Marketing & Public Relations
Committee Chair: Anthony Ko
*meets on the third Friday of the month*
Responsible for Special Events (A Village Affaire, Holiday Festival), Member Events, Public Forums, Business Education Series, and all forms of advertising to promote the BID community. This committee works closely with Communication committee and shares function of outreach to local resident organizations (LFIA, LFNC, FHRA, and others) neighboring business organizations (SLCC, AVCC), CD4, CD13, BID Symposium, and others with the President and Communication committee.
